So we went into the kitchen and she ate her breakfast as I began to put pigtails in her hair. As I was combing through her hair, I noticed it was really greasy- weird, since she had a bath the night before.
"Avery, did you put something in your hair last night?"
"Well, yeah mom, I had to put lots of lotion on for the first day of school."
Avery, I hope you had a great first day!
Oh, and while you were at school, with your lubed up hair, here's a little summary of what your brother and sister were doing. McClaine and I played with blocks- a lot!And Audrey is really just into crawling around the playroom, chewing on stuff, and learning to pull up on her bouncy chair. What a big girl she is...

Lotion in the hair--she still looked cute--my younger daughter did the lotion thing too. I wonder what little girls are thinking ;)
Great pics; it looks like everyone had fun on the first day!
I can't believe she put lotion in her hair. Who knows what goes through their little minds when they do things like that.
She is precious as are all your kids. I hope she comes home with some great stories of a wonderful first day!
How cute is she? Sleeping with her backpack... Wow! I don't think I was ever that eager to go to school!
Looks like everyone had a great day! : )
Well, no need to worry if she's ready to go to school!
My daughter's whole concept of school revolves around the backpack, too. She's very worried that she won't have one when it's time for kindergarten next year, lol.
no she did not put lotion in her hair!! and sleeping with her backpack!! honey that is awesome!!
can't wait to hear how her first day was :)
and it looks like the other two had lots of fun soaking up quality mommy time!!
Too cute that she had her bag in bed already.
