I went out of town this last weekend with Audrey for a women's retreat. When I asked him what he did while I was gone, he said, "made homemade biscuits and scrambled eggs for the kids, picked up Nacha and gave her specific instructions to clean the bathrooms and the floors, took your car to get inspected and a detailed cleaning, went to the grocery store, went to the nursery and planted new flowers in our backyard (including my favorite- gardenias), and played a bunch with the kids." He made dinner for me on my homecoming, too. Grilled ribeyes with roasted garlic, HOMEMADE grilled rosemary flatbread and tricolor pasta with a portabella and vegetable sauce- made from scratch. He sooooo wins!

Different Homecomings
Caleb went out of town on business to Leon, Mexico last week. When he asked what I did while he was gone, I said, "survived." I tried to make a great homecoming meal for him with Sockeye salmon, corn on the cob and salad. The kids ate every bite of it before he even got home. This is what my meal for him looked like.

Are you kidding me? Is there a contest for husband of the year? It's likely Caleb would win. I mean...er...that is after Matt! :)
I really am super impressed. Praise God for such a wonderful husband and father, especially because he seems to have done all of those things with a joyful attitude. I am taking notes!
No kidding?! Wow that bread looks delicious! Go Caleb! I wonder how he did all that? -I- need to know his secret!
