Now I have heard the horror stories of babies that don't sleep through the night until they are two years old, but I just can't imagine. Avery slept through the night at 4 weeks, McClaine around 11 weeks and Audrey around 12 weeks.
Maybe that is not accurate. It is all a blur and praise God, I took the time to blog about it, so I would have a record. But 5 months and 26 days seems like an eternity when you get up three times a night to nurse and wake with your oldest two at 7 am and then care for all these darlings All. Day. Long.
She probably would have done it months ago, it's just that she has been in our room until this week, so her every little whimper, I come to the rescue, so as not to wake the other blessed souls sleep under this roof.
Certainly unrelated, but also a memory I want to preserve in case I forget, Reece had her first taste of rice cereal this week. She wasn't as disgusted as my other kids seemed to be, but she just slobbered out every bite I gave her.
McClaine continues to be thrilled with school and has made some pretty tremendous breakthroughs in the area of potty training. Depending on what kind of treat I am dishing out, he decides if it is better to dirty a diaper or use the toilet. One day I will tap into the wisdom that imparts intrinsic motivation.
While I finished getting ready for church this morning, Caleb loaded the kids in the car. As they sat in the car
"Dad, I need you to do me a favor. Go in the house and in the left drawer or so there is a red hair bow that will match well with this dress. I need you to go get that, okay?"
Audrey and I had a great time playing while Avery and McClaine were at school and Reece was napping on Thursday. She is a peachy kid, full of zeal and life and joy.
Enjoy your Sunday!
