Rockin' the Horsie Guitar and Christy Nockels

I can hardly believe that it is Thursday and I am just getting to posting on how we spent our weekend in...

I love that place, there is always such rich fellowship and good times. I love getting to visit my brother and SIL, Beth. They are awesome, so helpful with the kids and super laid-back... so it just isn't a big deal when my kids come wreckin' ball on their house. Plus, my brother is totally a little kid stuck in a grown up's body, as demonstrated in this dance party video. Unless you are related to us, or really want to see my kids breakdance in their backward underpants, you may want to fast fwd to about :40.

I was so blessed to get to see Christy Nockels in concert on Friday night. It was a sweet time of worship and the Lord really used her to teach me about being available for the Lord and my kids. I also love how she encouraged the single ladies at the concert to "not waste their worship," during the season of singleness. Such wisdom that I am sure resonated with many of the college ladies there, that tend to get caught up in relationship, after relationship, just hoping to find the "right one." If you haven't heard Christy Nockels (previously of Watermark), please don't deprive yourself. Her voice is like butter.

We also had a birthday party for Beth's brother and you better believe that the kids were totally into the green frosting.

Anyway, it was a really refreshing weekend, and I can't believe another one is right around the corner. Many thanks to all of you who have been praying for our friends Heath and Becky during this devastating time.
