Windows Live Writer Saves a Mommy an Hour

Let’s be honest. When you have these three children…

January '10 004

And this darling child…

January '10 080

All four of them, combined…

January '10 079

Gives you little time for blogging. So you feel grumpy…

January '10 037

And wish there was some way to make blogging easier.

What the Whirlpool did to the washboard, what the KitchenAid did to the rubber gloves and dishsoap, Windows Live Writer has done for blogging.

And you mommies out there are going to be thanking me and the beloved McMommy for this one (she teaches me a lot of fun stuff).

Download it free here, and sync it with your already existing blog. It is fabulous.

You can copy and paste pics into the text (no more uploading)

And EDIT them, January '10 028

January '10 028 customize borders,

January '10 028 resize them,

January '10 028rearrange them, watermark them, make photo albums

You can add hyperlink and

tables

How many hours I spent on blogging before Windows Live Writer5
How many hours I spend on blogging now…Less than 1

and maps and tags and videos and plug-ins

Then… you can preview it in your blog before you publish to see how snazzy it is.

I am telling you, this is a blogger’s dream come true.

ok so I was very excited about this, so I downloaded it, synced up with my blog and did a test post to try it out. It worked great, but somehow it changed the way my blog looks. It squeezed in the middle part to where my posts are smaller and you can see more of the background. How do I fix this? Any ideas?

Glad that another blogger has discovered the delights and magic that is Windows Live Writer. As a blogger who has been with Writer since its birth, I just would not blog without it.
Welcome to the Live Writer fan club! If you need any help with it, just ask

Huh? I am traveling this week and "browsing" my favorite blogs, but I will be back after I am home on my laptop to get closely acquainted with this. SO excited!

Great now I feel like there is so much more I am going to need to learn! You are right that picture rocks and your children are beautiful!

Can you tell I'm home sick, getting caught up on my blog reading (and blogging myself, finally).

#1 Agree that Avery looks shockingly like you (and super cute) in the grumpy pic.

#2 I'm going to try this RIGHT NOW.

#3 I think it's funny that when you leave a comment, you get to "choose an identity." Can I choose Kelly Ripa? I guess I'd rather be me...

Thanks for stopping by my blog and letting me know about this! I've actually heard of livewriter but haven't really looked into it. You've inspired me to do that. Anything to make the process quicker!

You may be interested in my new posts taking you all through making full use of Windows Live Writer here at http://technograns.wordpress.com/2010/02/03/blogging-with-windows-live-writer-1/
I begin from the basics and will work up to using it fully to both compose and format your blog posts

The Alexanders. Unfortunately it does sometimes occur that Writer can't sync correctly with your blog depending on the theme/format etc OR it may not have synced with it correctly. All I can advise is delete your blog settings and then try again from scratch.

love that windows live writer saves time but i cannot seem to load my blog. it's telling me the user name/ password cannot work for some reason. isn't it the same as your blogger sign in/ google account? hmmmm? thanks for any help anyone can give. can't wait to set it up.

Check the user name and password is typed in correctly. In order to access all your blog settings, Writer needs your user name and password and yes, its the same as you used when you access your blog on here.

Yeah for Technogran! She is like our own personal LiveWriter tutor! Thank you for responding to all of my commenters with the answers that I don't even know myself.

Thanks for the compliment Tyne! I do hope that you are all following my 'how-to's on how to use Live Writer! I am posting them here on http://technograns.wordpress.com or alternatively if you would far rather stay on Blogger then http://geekygran.blogspot.com You'll all be Writer experts by the time I've finished. (Hopefully!)
