Taking Things Into My Own Hands

sabinal face wreck copyLast year when we went to Sabinal, I was conquered by an oak tree branch.  The pictures are not for the faint of heart, but if you care to see how I was nearly scalped and the reason why I still have trouble breathing out of my left nostril, you can read about it here.  But be forewarned, there is lots of blood.

This year I decided to take matters into my own hands-

March 308Well, not really.  I just avoided cruising around on a bench mounted in the bed of a pickup truck and stuck with less dangerous sporting such as shooting clay pigeons and fishing. March 307It’s always a really fun reunion with my brother and his wife and kids, and my dad.  He is really a fun dad and he is about to turn SEVENTY so we did manage to fit in a Coca-Cola Cake.March 306

Audrey and her cousin Sage are like two peas in a pod.  I love that they are so close in age and that we live so close by, it will be a treat to watch them grow up together.March 309 Reece did more photography than me this weekend.  All of these pictures (except the one from last year at the top) are from my phone.  Do you know about the instagram ap?  It makes really mediocre pictures pretty cute.

There were Indians in the Sabinal area…March 312 And not just this one with the feather in her hair!  Caleb found these really cool arrowheads.

March 313

It was a wonderful and slightly exhausting weekend, but not nearly as painful for me as the last trip we took there.March 314

I'm a bit bitter that Instagram isn't available for Droids yet! Very cool pics. Glad you had a good time!
