New Perspective

I was sitting on my porch in an irritated state of mind yesterday.

Avery is in a new phase of "clinginess," McClaine in a new phase of "destruction," and it seems Audrey is hungry all the time.

All I wanted to do was read my book.

The Lord kindly spoke to my grumpy heart and changed my perspective.

This season of my life will be over before I know it.

I will be longing for Avery's attention in no time at all, this "clinginess" is just "affection." McClaine's "destruction" is just "discovery," (which certainly will lead to tremendous breakthroughs in science). Audrey's insatiable hunger is just another oportunity to snuggle with her and enjoy her tiny features, her fingers that wrap around mine, the sweet grin she gives me like I am the only one in the world.

Lord, give me the grace, endurance and energy to love my children well in this season.

Hi Tyner :)

I got your message on facebook and Jeff and I are hoping to make it. That is his birthday weekend :)

He has a job interview today and we are a little concerned about how expensive air travel is lately but I should know more this weekend. We want to come and think you should schedule the get together that weekend regardless of our schedule. OH HOW I HOPE WE CAN MAKE IT!!!!

I love your blog!! I love having an insight into your world and knowing about the joys and trials you face as a mother :) Praying for you my sweet friend!!!!

Hey Tyne,

I love reading all the stories of your precious family! Some days I feel the same way, but you're right, this is just a stepping stone in their lives!

Tyne, right before clicking on your blog, I sent Jon an email. Here, I'll tell you what it said.
"Lover come home! I need a break from this house, cleaning the highchair tray .....and from a certain crying baby!" Somedays seem to take more patience, huh? :o) I'm praying for you right now.
Love,
Leigh

Ah, may He give me that same grace when I too forget how preciously sweet and short these times are. May I love these children well and memorize as many moments as possible! Thank you, Tyne!!
