I find myself with less time to post about all of the wonderful things that are happening around here.
Avery finds herself with one less tooth in her mouth. Avery is growing up right before my very eyes.
Tooth fairies and Kindergarten Round-up.
Sigh. Reminders of how quickly life passes.
When I took Avery for round-up, Ms. Lowery did her assessments.
She looked right at her and said, “you know, I had your daddy in kindergarten. And your Auntie Leigh, and Auntie Margaret… AND my husband taught your GRANDPA!”
I wonder if she will be around to tell Avery’s daughter the same thing.
Then she said, “She got 100%! We will take her right now in kindergarten!”
Oh no you don’t! Not one day too soon.
I am trying to find that perfect balance of living in the moment, surviving the onslaught of duties that come with being a mother of small kids,
and capturing the memories here in this virtual place.
So here are a couple of those gems from the week.
How much does Reecey love her great-granny’s earrings?
These women are all about accessories.
Let’s take a close-up look at this precious hair clip that Leigh made for Reece? The leaves on it are vintage.
Now let’s take a close-up look at this baby that Leigh made. He is my edible, scrumptious nephew Zane.
Granny is really good at holding great-grandbabies. Good thing, because she has six of them!
She also gave Caleb a jar of sourdough starter and taught him how to make her homemade yeast rolls and cinnamon rolls.
I was not the only one dancing for joy over the pure bliss of homemade cinnamon rolls!
McClaine has yet to find a butterfly to catch with this net. So he is opting to make it into a sweet mask/weapon.
When he shakes his head from side to side, the pole swings in a path of destruction.
Look out, Wyatt! McClaine’s got Reece’s back if you mess with her toy too long!

Tyne! I want that picture of Zane! You talk so much about how great the filters of PW are, but really I think you are just an awesome photographer! Hey, does this mean Aves is going to be in kindergarten?
Such lovely pictures! Why do they have to grow up so fast, though? Sigh...
