Renegade

Today I am packing ONE bag and leaving behind pack and plays, strollers, diaper bag (not that I have used a diaper bag for years, but I will be removing all diapers and wipes and paci’s from my purse), four children, three dogs, a cat, six chickens, a washing machine, a stove, a dishwasher and a wonderful husband who has agreed to tend to all the aforementioned. (Thanks Caleb, I love you sooo much.  Smooch smooch!)

I feel like such a RENEGADE. def- an individual who rejects lawful or conventional behavior.

It has been six years since I have left all responsibility and children behind and had a little time to myself.  Six years.  So this weekend does seem so unconventional to me.

My mother-in-law and sister-in-law and I are heading to Austin this weekend for the Renegade Craft Fair.  I am sooooo excited to see this awesome Etsy party come to life right before my eyes.

And while I am so looking forward to taking a trip with no children in tow, part of me is just a teeny bit sad to leave them behind.  Heaven forbid Reecey starts walking while I am away!  She has been on the verge for a couple of days now and is slowly letting go of her inhibitions and the furniture to take 3, 4, 5 steps!  I just don’t want to miss a minute of them growing up.

But then again, maybe just one weekend away will be okay.  Wait for me Reece, don’t you start walking without me here to see!

How fun! And your garden in the last post is amazing. I can't imagine how good all the fresh home-grown things taste!
