Preserving His Love

Fingers stained with His love and care, she is mindful of the attention to details that went into His creation. Clustered globes filled with sweet nectar.June 20102

Her example is good for me, I get lost in the monotony of chores and discipline and am more mindful of the seeds than the flesh that is refreshing and brings life.June 20104They don’t even mind the fire ants and the thorns, they are mesmerized by what is beautiful and good and perfect. I trip over laundry on the way to a sink full of dishes, not even thankful for the clothing we have and the food that once graced those dirty plates. June 20101

June 20103

They remind me that God’s goodness is everywhere, if I am mindful of it.

Sometimes it is even in a dog’s kiss.
Or, maybe not.But even when I am too exhausted to give thanks and the kids are still needing to be hushed an hour after they were kissed goodnight, these are the memories that need to be preserved.

Literally. Because it is easy for me to forget the sweetness of His great love.

Very well said...and it makes me yearn for berry picking! Though I did find some wild blueberries while camping last weekend :)

That was truly poetic.

Thanks for the reminder to not take such tender mercies for granted. Rejoice in my children's fresh eyes of wonder.

That is great, I miss berry picking when I was a kid - my Dada used to take me all the time!
:)
